Photographer Donates Artwork For A Cause
Long Island fine art photographer Joanne Henig, of Joanne Henig Photography, has partnered with the American Heart Association of Long Island to present her interpretation of matters of the heART for its annual heART auction. The 48th Annual Long Island HeART Ball presents artists of all forms of art and will take place May 20th, 2011 at the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City, NY. Two of Henig’s digital oil paintings on canvas were chosen for auction for the event.
For Henig, matters of the heART begin and end with LOVE. The first piece, “Painted Tulips – Digital Watercolor”, represents the LOVE the Earth has for us each and every day. The second piece, “Old Glory – Digital Oil”, represents the power and beauty of LOVE for country. Each piece is valued at $450.00. The donation of the artwork for auction will help raise funds to promote the mission of the AHA.
Last year the Long Island Heart Ball raised over $450,000 to fund life saving initiatives for cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Every year the event honors individuals who help aid in the AHA mission to build “healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.” This year, the AHA’s goal is to raise over $500,000 to fund vital research initiatives.
